Man! I can't believe how cold it turned. After about a week of actual Springlike temperatures in the
70s and 80s, it snaps down to below freezing for over a week now?
I think it must be Global Cooling.
Anyway...it's been so cloudy I can't use the telescope yet and even though I'm strong enough to lift it and get
it out the door, with the clouds and the moon still high, I have yet to get in a situation where I could get a favorable glance
at Jupiter.
We were in Germany last week and the temperatures were in the 70's except for one day when we were cruising down
the Romantic Rhine...the part where all the castles are. They had opened the top deck and I went up to get better views
and to take pictures. The temperature that morning was probably 37 degrees, but with the windchill, it was probably
below zero. I toughed it out however, and got some thirty castle shots that are all keepers.
