The Word of God says,
"And let us not be weary in well
doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not." (Galatians
6: 9). Jesus promised He would come,
"In my Father's house are many mansions:
if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive
you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also" (John 14: 2-3).
Are you really looking for Christ's coming? It is one thing to say it
with your lips and another to believe and yearn for it in your heart. He
said He would return and you can be assured that Christ will indeed come,
"Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense
of reward. For ye have need of patience, that after ye have done the will
of God, ye might receive the promise. For yet a little while and he that
shall come will come, and will not tarry" (Hebrews 10: 35-37). What Christ
promises, He will do,
"Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming
of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the
earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter
rain. Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord
draweth nigh" (James 5: 7-8).
In your heart, do you
really believe He is coming? You may think
that you are really looking for Christ and preparing for His return, but
check your heart,
"And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your
hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkeness, and cares of this
life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come
on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth" (Luke 21: 34-35).
In spite of all the tribulation and calamities taking place on the earth when
Jesus returns, Christ said that His coming would be at an hour that only the
Father knows,
"Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth
come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch
the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered
his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour
as ye think not the Son of man cometh" (Matthew 24: 42-44).
Notice that Jesus is addressing this to His followers, those that serve
Him as Lord and are admonished to,
"................be ye also ready................."
(vs. 44). The implication is for those, His followers, to keep close
watch and belief of His appearing, for it will come,
".................in
such an hour as ye think not..................." (vs. 44). Jesus did
not address this to the world. He addressed it to His servants,
"Who then
is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household,
to give them meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord
when he cometh shall find so doing. Verily I say unto you, That he shall
make him ruler over all his goods. But and if that evil servant shall say
in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; And shall begin to smite his fellowservants,
and to eat and drink with the drunken; The lord of that servant shall come
in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware
of, And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites:
there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth" (Matthew 24: 45-51).
Do not let the cares of this life steal away your victory in Christ. Start
out each day thinking upon Him and the fact that He promised He would come
again. In a recent time of great discouragement, The Lord rebuked me for
failing to look up and rejoice in the consolation of His soon appearing.
When The Lord speaks to us, He sometimes tells us things about ourselves
that we do not want to hear. He was telling me, that even though I was
feeling that my walk of faith was insufficient, that I needed to
shake off this lie from Hell, get up, get busy, do what I
know to
be the Truth, and get back to
really looking for His coming!
As a loving, Heavenly Father, He rebukes and chastens His children,
And
ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children,
My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou
art rebuked of him: For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth
every son whom he receiveth. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you
as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? But if ye
be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards,
and not sons. Furthermore, we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected
us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection
unto the Father of spirits, and live? (Hebrews 12: 5-9).
The point I am making is, we can be thinking on, talking and reading
about, and proclaiming Christ's coming, but if we are not
constantly
looking up and expecting His return, we are failing to be properly prepared.
I spend a great deal of my time studying, researching, listening, and teaching
on Bible prophecy. The purpose and priority of my life revolves around looking
for Christ's return and encouraging others to do the same! But, if I become
distracted by the enemy's lies of hopelessness, despair
, and unworthiness,
will I be watching and waiting for Jesus at the hour of His return? Remember,
Jesus said to His followers that He would come at an hour that you think
not.
Satan will lie and try to immobilize our faith by making us believe we have
lost all hope. But, Satan is a LIAR and a Deceiver and there is NO Truth
in him! He is the father of lies! The accuser of our brethren does accuse,
and he does it before our God day and night. He comes to kill, steal, and
destroy, but Jesus comes that we may have life and that more abundantly!
It is our job to run to Jesus and let Him do the battle for us,
"Submit
yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners;
and purify your hearts, ye double minded, Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep:
let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. Humble
yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up" (James
4: 7-10).
Jesus tells us,
".................In the world ye shall have tribulation:
but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world" (John 16: 33). He promises,
"...................I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee" (Hebrews
13: 5). In our moments of doubt and despair, we have to encourage ourselves
in The Lord, as David,
"And David was greatly distressed; for the people
spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every
man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the
Lord his God" (I Samuel 30: 6). We must not look to ourselves, but look
up to God,
"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh
my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth" (Psalms
121: 1-2).
We must take heed to what Jesus says,
"And there shall be signs in the
sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations
, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them
for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth:
for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son
of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things
begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your
redemption draweth nigh, (Luke 21: 25-28).
Without question, the signs are pointing to Christ's return. In the news,
weather, wars and rumors of wars, devilish violence and lust, in everything--those
with eyes to see can see that we are at the time of the end! At the time
of this writing, several separate school shootings have taken place with
lust driven motives. One can see that because of all of the violence and
pornography, people's minds are being taken over by evil. Also at the time
of this writing, rumors of war with Iran are escalating. I have seen reports
of U.S. Naval ships being prepared for deployment to the Persian Gulf, just
off Iran's western coast. All the while, Russia stands by, ready to arm and
back Iran if attacked by the U.S. Israel just ceased fighting with Iranian-backed,
Hezbollah, and that skirmish, along with the Palestinian and Hamas conflicts,
could reignite at any time. Syria is involved in the fighting and Damascus
will surely be leveled at some time according to Bible prophecy (Isaiah 17:
1). The Middle East will continue to be a powder keg and international blame,
hostilities, and hatred will ultimately be directed at Jerusalem according
to Zechariah chapters 12 and 14.
Couple this with the church's failure to be uncompromising and the technology
available to implant chips in people's bodies, and you have the groundwork
for the mark of the beast under a one world religion. Many spiritual leaders
are concerned about offending someone. The question we should ask is are
we offending Jesus Christ! Are we obeying Him! He will return in flaming
fire, taking vengeance on all them that know not God. We are at the time
of the end.
Prepare for very difficult days ahead because we are soon to see great
devastation and destruction come to this nation and the world. Calamity upon
calamity shall soon descend upon this nation and land. Tumult upon tumult
is coming to descend upon this nation like a flood. The floodgates of judgment
are being poured out upon a dry and dreary land. Days of darkness and gloominess
are right ahead and God is demanded a recompense,
"Set the trumpet to
thy mouth. He shall come as an eagle against the house of the Lord, because
they have transgressed my covenant, and trespassed against my law. Israel
shall cry unto me, My God, we know thee. Israel hath cast off the thing that
is good: the enemy shall pursue him. They have set up kings, but not by me:
they have made princes, and I knew it not: of their silver and their gold
have they made them idols, that they may be cut off. Thy calf, O Samaria,
hath cast thee off; mine anger is kindled against them: how long will it
be ere they attain to innocency? For from Israel was it also: the workman
made it; therefore it is not God: but the calf of Samaria shall be broken
in pieces. For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind..................."
(Hosea 8: 1-7).
A time of sowing and reaping, of harvest and judgment, is coming,
"Be
not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall
he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption;
but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting"
(Galatians 6: 7-8). Run to God with all of your heart and weep and howl
for the days that are soon to come upon the face of the earth,
"For the
wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness
of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness" (Romans 1: 18).
"And
to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed
from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them
that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of
the Lord, and from the glory of his power; When he shall come to be glorified
in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony
among you was believed) in that day" (II Thessalonians 1: 7-10).
Are you looking for Jesus? He is going to come! You must be fully convinced!
This must not be a lazy, hazy, distant thought, but a daily, vivid realization
of His triumphant return! He will return at an hour when you think not. The
Word of God clearly tells us this in Matthew 24: 44. So, be ready and watch!
Prepare for Jesus Christ's return and for the great tribulation leading up
to His return!
I will close with this. The mind of man cannot conceive of the judgment
that is coming to America. You may be shocked to hear this, and I grieve
and hesitate to write it, but I feel the time is now to sound the alarm
and sound the trumpet, without holding anything back! Unparalleled judgment
has been determined for this nation. Unless God decides to change His course,
we are soon to see unprecedented judgment coming to this nation. No one
ever thought that September 11th and Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, and Wilma
would've all hit within four years of each other in America, but it happened.
We have been given a time of grace to repent and that time is coming to a
close. I grieve at the thought of this, yet it must be said. We must be prepared.
The Will of The Lord be done.
Blessings to you all in The Name of Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen.
